Hainan Sunbird

The Hainan Sunbird (<em>Aethopyga christinae</em>) is a small nectarivorous bird in the family Nectariniidae (Sunbirds). It is found in forest habitats, where it forages among flowering vegetation. Detailed plumage and behavioral descriptions of this species are limited in the available literature. The Hainan Sunbird builds a pendant nest (nest type PN), an enclosed hanging structure characteristic of many sunbirds. Clutch size ranges from 2 to 4 eggs.
