Black-necked Grebe
El zampullín cuellinegro (unos 300 g) tiene en plumaje nupcial la garganta y la nuca negras con llamativos penachos dorados en la cara. Es un buceador especializado que se alimenta sobre todo de invertebrados acuáticos pequeños. Se reproduce en lagunas ricas en vegetación acuática en grupos coloniales y a menudo junto a garzas y gaviotas. En invierno migra a las costas. Sus nidos flotantes son construidos por la pareja con material vegetal.

Least Grebe (Tachybaptus dominicus) is the smallest New World grebe at 21–27 cm. Dark grey overall in breeding plumage with yellow eye, blackish cap, and short bill. Inhabits small freshwater ponds, ditches, and marshes from the southern USA through Central and South America to northern Argentina. Feeds on small fish and aquatic invertebrates.
