Karoo Bustard
El sisón del Karoo es un pequeño sisón (55-60 cm) endémico del semidesierto del Karoo en el sur de Sudáfrica y el sur de Namibia. Tiene plumaje pardo moteado adaptado al camuflaje en el hábitat semiárido. Habita en llanuras áridas y vegetación de suculentas del Karoo. El macho realiza exhibiciones de cortejo llamativas. Se alimenta de insectos, semillas y brotes de plantas. Especie endémica de uno de los biomas más singulares de África.
