Gorgeted Sunangel

El solángel de golilla es un colibrí pequeño de los bosques nublados andinos del suroeste de Colombia y el noroeste de Ecuador. El macho presenta partes superiores verde brillante y una llamativa banda pectoral iridiscente. Se alimenta del néctar de flores en los bosques nublados y matorrales del bosque andino. La hembra es más apagada. La deforestación en su área de distribución restringida es una preocupación para la conservación.

A small hummingbird (10-11 cm) endemic to Jamaica. Males have a deeply forked, lyre-shaped tail. Green plumage. Nectarivore of forest and garden flowers. Recently split from Bahama Woodstar. A Jamaican near-endemic.
