La paloma-halcón de las Salomón es una paloma endémica de las Islas Salomón en el Pacífico sur. Tiene plumaje gris en las partes superiores y anaranjado-rojizo en el vientre. Habita en bosques de colinas y montaña. Como otras palomas-halcón, produce un batir de alas muy audible en vuelo. Se alimenta de frutos del dosel. Especie con distribución restringida a este archipiélago del Pacífico.

Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
