Tortolita escamosa (Columbina squammata) — Paloma del interior árido y semiárido de Brasil. Plumaje fuertemente escamado en el pecho y el dorso. Habita en zonas del Cerrado y la Caatinga, terrenos abiertos con vegetación dispersa.
Slender cuckoo-dove, 32–35 cm, uniform warm cinnamon-rufous with minimal barring and a relatively short tail. Restricted to Enggano Island off the southwestern coast of Sumatra. Inhabits dense lowland forest. Frugivore. Vulnerable due to extremely small range and ongoing forest loss on the island.
