A medium-sized hummingbird (13-14 cm) found in Andean cloud forests from Venezuela to Colombia at 1,800-3,200 m. Males have a golden-yellow belly and iridescent green forehead. Nectarivore of montane forest and forest edges.
Purple-throated Sunangel
El solángel violáceo es un colibrí pequeño de los bosques nublados andinos del sur de Ecuador y el norte de Perú. El macho tiene partes superiores verde brillante y un gorjal violáceo-púrpura iridiscente llamativo. Se alimenta del néctar de flores en los bosques nublados andinos. La hembra es más apagada.
