Chorlitejo de cabeza roja (Charadrius ruficapillus), 14–16 cm. Corona y nuca de color rufo-castaño brillante; frente negra; dorso pardo; collar pectoral negro. Habita en playas y marismas de Australia y Tasmania. Se alimenta de pequeños invertebrados en la orilla. Nidifica en la arena.
