Chorlitejo de la Patagonia (Charadrius modestus), 18–21 cm. Partes superiores pardo-grisáceas; pecho con banda rufa y negro; vientre blanco. Cría en Patagonia y Tierra del Fuego; inverna en costas del Brasil. Habita en pastizales y playas. Se alimenta de insectos e invertebrados.
