Chorlitejo chico (Charadrius dubius), 14–16 cm. Anillo ocular amarillo llamativo; collar pectoral negro; frente blanca; dorso pardo. Patas rosadas. Ampliamente distribuido en Europa, Asia y África. Habita en riberas de ríos, graveras y playas. Se alimenta de insectos e invertebrados.

Restricted to high-altitude moorland and montane grassland above 1,800 m in Ethiopia. Insectivorous. Sedentary; rare and little-studied. Declining due to overgrazing and agricultural encroachment.
