Chorlitejo collarejo (Charadrius collaris), 14–15 cm. Collar pectoral negro completo y delgado; frente blanca; dorso pardo-rojizo; vientre blanco. Habita en playas y orillas de ríos de América tropical, desde México hasta Argentina. Residente y migratorio. Se alimenta de invertebrados en la orilla.

Restricted to high-altitude moorland and montane grassland above 1,800 m in Ethiopia. Insectivorous. Sedentary; rare and little-studied. Declining due to overgrazing and agricultural encroachment.
