Paloma esmeralda (Chalcophaps indica), 23–27 cm. Plumaje verde esmeralda brillante en alas; cabeza y partes inferiores grises rosadas; frente blanca. Habita en selvas húmedas y bordes de bosque desde la India hasta el sudeste asiático y Australia. Se alimenta de semillas y frutos en el suelo.
