Pájaro paraguas amazónico (Cephalopterus ornatus), 45–55 cm. Plumaje negro brillante; cresta erectable en forma de paraguas muy desarrollada; wattle colgante largo en el pecho. Habita en selvas de tierras bajas de la cuenca amazónica. Se alimenta principalmente de frutas. El macho emite sonidos retumbantes en el lek.
Band-tailed Fruiteater
The Band-tailed Fruiteater is a medium-sized cotinga of the family Cotingidae found in montane forests on the eastern slopes of the Andes. Weighing about 50g with a wingspan of 18.9cm, males have a striking banded tail pattern and green-and-orange plumage. It feeds primarily on small fruits and berries in the cloud forest canopy.
