Cucal de pico mayor (Centropus sinensis), 45–55 cm. Gran cucal de dorso y alas castaño oscuro, cabeza, cuello y partes inferiores negros con brillo verde-azulado. Cola larga y fuerte. Ampliamente distribuido desde el sur de Asia hasta el sudeste asiático. Habita en matorrales densos, campos cultivados y jardines. Voz fuerte y resonante.
