Cucal del Senegal (Centropus senegalensis), 36–41 cm. Dorso y alas castaño rojizo vivo, cabeza y partes inferiores negras con brillo verdoso. Cola larga. Muy extendido por el África subsahariana. Habita en matorrales, jardines y bordes de selva. Se alimenta de insectos, pequeños reptiles y bayas.
