Austen's Brown Hornbill is a Near Threatened hornbill found in dense primary forest in northeastern India, Myanmar, and adjacent China. Weighing about 933g with a wingspan of 65.4cm, it is a medium-sized hornbill with brown plumage and a pale bill lacking a large casque. It feeds on figs and other forest fruits and nests in tree cavities.
