Black-chinned Mountain-tanager
The Black-chinned Mountain-tanager is a large, colorful tanager of Andean cloud forests in Colombia and Ecuador, with males bearing a yellow crown, blue wings, chestnut back, and a distinctive black chin and throat. It inhabits the canopy and edges of humid montane forests at elevations between 1,200 and 2,400 meters. It feeds on fruits, berries, and insects.
Band-tailed Seedeater
The Band-tailed Seedeater is a small finch of the family Thraupidae found in open grassland, scrub, and agricultural areas in the Andes and adjacent lowlands. Weighing about 13.5g with a wingspan of 13.1cm, it has a distinctive pale band across the base of its tail. It feeds primarily on grass seeds on or near the ground.
