El mosquitero musical (unos 11 g) es el migrante más abundante de Europa, con cientos de millones de individuos que viajan cada año entre Europa y el África subsahariana. Su canto es una cascada melodiosa descendente de notas fluidas. Casi imposible de distinguir del mosquitero común por el plumaje, aunque suele tener las patas más claras. Se reproduce en bosques abiertos y matorrales de toda Europa. Los estudios de marcaje han revelado rutas migratorias asombrosas.
