Acerca de
El rascón nkulengu es un gran rascón de 30-35 cm y distintivo del oeste y centro de África. Tiene plumaje marrón con rayas, alas rojizas y un pico corto rojizo. Habita en los suelos de bosques tropicales húmedos y a orillas de ríos y arroyos. Como otros rascones, es tímido y sigiloso, detectado principalmente por sus llamadas resonantes nocturnas. Se alimenta de invertebrados en el suelo del bosque. Es el único representante del género Himantornis.
