Acerca de

El cucúl de halcón bigotudo (Hierococcyx vagans) mide 28-31 cm. Tiene el aspecto de un halcón pequeño con partes superiores marrones, partes inferiores pálidas con manchas rojizas y una línea de bigote oscura. Parásito de nido. Habita en los bosques de la Península Malaya, Sumatra, Borneo y otras islas de Indonesia. Su mimetismo con los halcones le permite acercarse a los nidos de sus hospedadores. Especie relativamente poco estudiada.
