Acerca de

El cucúl de halcón grande (Hierococcyx sparverioides) mide 38-42 cm y es el cucúl de halcón más grande de su género. Tiene partes superiores grises, partes inferiores blancas con rayas rojizas y un pecho blanquecino. Parásito de nido. Habita en el Himalaya, el sur de China, el sureste de Asia y partes de India. Parece un halcón en vuelo, lo que le permite acercarse a los nidos de sus hospedadores sin ser ahuyentado.
