El solángel de Clarisse es un colibrí pequeño de los bosques nublados andinos del norte de Venezuela y Colombia. El macho tiene partes superiores verde brillante y una garganta de color rosado-violeta iridiscente. Se alimenta del néctar de diversas flores en los bosques nublados andinos. La hembra es más apagada. La pérdida de hábitat en los bosques nublados andinos es una preocupación para esta especie de distribución restringida.

Distribución geográfica
Endemic to the Venezuelan Andes in Mérida and Táchira states in cloud forest. 2,000–3,200 m elevation.
Diet & Feeding
Nectarivore of Andean elfin forest; visits Brachyotum and Ericaceae flowers. Catches small flies near flowering bracts.
