El rascón invisible de Halmahera es un rascón sin alas endémico de la isla de Halmahera en las Molucas, Indonesia. Tiene plumaje gris oscuro con pico rojo brillante. Mide unos 32 cm. Habita en bosques densos y matorrales. Como otras especies de rascones sin alas, es incapaz de volar. Especie críticamente amenazada debido a la deforestación. Su llamada es un fuerte silbido que permite su detección en el bosque denso.
