La paloma-halcón de Buru es una paloma endémica de la isla de Buru en las Molucas, Indonesia. Tiene plumaje gris con vientre rojizo. Es una de las cuatro especies del género Gymnophaps, conocidas por su vuelo ruidoso. Habita en bosques de montaña. Se alimenta de frutos en el dosel forestal. Especie poco estudiada debido al difícil acceso a su hábitat insular de montaña.
