Chorlitejo de tres bandas (Charadrius tricollaris), 17–18 cm. Dos collares pectorales (negro estrecho arriba, ancho abajo); frente blanca; dorso pardo; anillo ocular amarillo. Habita en orillas de ríos y lagos del África subsahariana. Nidifica en gravas. Se alimenta de insectos e invertebrados acuáticos.
