Chorlitejo de río (Charadrius placidus), 17–19 cm. Collar pectoral negro; frente blanca; dorso pardo; anillo ocular amarillo. Habita en orillas pedregosas de ríos de Asia oriental (China, Japón, Corea). Migratorio parcial. Se alimenta de invertebrados acuáticos. Nidifica en gravas de ríos.
