Acerca de
Chorlitejo silbador (Charadrius melodus), 17–19 cm. Collar pectoral negro incompleto (doble en algunos individuos); frente blanca; dorso arena; pico y patas naranjas. Habita en playas de arena del este de Norteamérica. Especie amenazada. Nidifica en playas, en peligro por el turismo costero.
