Bandurria de cola aguda (Cercibis oxycerca), 65–75 cm. Ibis de plumaje negro brillante con reflejos verdosos; cola puntiaguda muy característica. Piel facial roja desnuda. Habita en sabanas abiertas, pastizales inundados y márgenes de ríos en América del Sur (cuenca del Orinoco). Se alimenta de insectos e invertebrados acuáticos.
