Cucal de cola cobriza (Centropus cupreicaudus), 36–42 cm. Plumaje negro brillante con reflejos azulados; cola con brillo cobrizo característico. Dorso y alas castaño rojizo. Habita en pastizales inundados y orillas de ríos en el centro de África. Se alimenta de insectos, ranas y pequeños reptiles.
