About These Birds

Der Star ist berühmt für seine Schwarmflüge – riesige, wirbelnde Verbände aus Tausenden Vögeln, die am winterlichen Himmel faszinierende Muster bilden. Als geschickter Imitator kann er andere Vogelrufe, Autoalarmanlagen und Handy-Klingeltöne nachahmen. Regenbogentukan
Der Regenbogentukan ist der Nationalvogel von Belize und einer der bekanntesten Vögel der Neotropis. Sein überdimensionierter Schnabel, der ein Drittel seiner Körperlänge ausmachen kann, ist dank seiner hohlen, wabenartigen Struktur tatsächlich sehr leicht. Tukane übernachten gemeinschaftlich, wobei sich bis zu sechs erwachsene Tiere eine einzige Baumhöhle teilen.
