Die riesige, über zwei Meter lange Schleppe des Pfaus wird bei aufwendigen Balzritualen gefächert und in Vibration versetzt. Trotz ihrer Größe können Pfauen kurze Strecken fliegen und übernachten in hohen Bäumen.
