Atoll Starling
The Atoll Starling is a Near Threatened medium-sized starling found on islands of the Solomon archipelago in the southwestern Pacific. Weighing about 72g with a wingspan of 24cm, it has glossy dark plumage and forages in small flocks for fruit and insects in coastal forest and scrub. Island isolation makes it vulnerable to habitat change.

Die Hirtenmaina wurde von der IUCN zu einer der 100 schlimmsten invasiven Arten der Welt erklärt.
