About These Birds

Arctic Warbler

The Arctic Warbler is a small migratory leaf warbler weighing about 11 grams with a wingspan near 13 cm, breeding across the boreal forests of Eurasia and western Alaska. It undertakes one of the longest migrations of any Old World warbler, wintering in Southeast Asia and the Philippines. Its pale supercilium and olive-green plumage are typical of Phylloscopus warblers in forested habitats.

Ashy-throated Warbler

The Ashy-throated Warbler is a tiny leaf warbler found in the Himalayas and mountains of Southwest China. Weighing just 5.5g with a wingspan near 9.4cm, it has an ash-grey throat and distinctive wing bars. It forages actively through conifer and mixed forest foliage, gleaning insects from leaves and twigs.
