Chilean Flamingo
Chilean Flamingo (Phoenicopterus chilensis) is a large 100–130 cm flamingo of South America. Pale pink plumage with pinkish legs and distinctive grey-banded knee joints; pink-black bill. Inhabits saline lakes, coastal lagoons, and estuaries from Ecuador south to Argentina and Tierra del Fuego. Feeds by filter-feeding on algae and invertebrates.
