Shining Imperial-pigeon (Ducula chalconota), 38 cm. Richly iridescent bronze-green upperparts with a contrasting pale grey head and underparts. Found in montane forest of New Guinea from 700 to 2,200 m. Frugivore. Least Concern; common in hill and montane forest.

Red Collared-dove

Small dove, 20–23 cm, sexually dimorphic: males have a brick-red back and wings with a blue-grey head and black collar; females are browner. Widespread across South and Southeast Asia from India to the Philippines, in open agricultural land and scrub. Granivore of seeds and small grains. Least Concern.
