Shining Imperial-pigeon (Ducula chalconota), 38 cm. Richly iridescent bronze-green upperparts with a contrasting pale grey head and underparts. Found in montane forest of New Guinea from 700 to 2,200 m. Frugivore. Least Concern; common in hill and montane forest.

Dark-eared Brown-dove

Small dove, 21–23 cm, dark brown with a brown (rather than grey) head and iridescent purple neck. Restricted to the forests of Mindanao, Leyte, and Samar in the southern and eastern Philippines. Inhabits montane forest. Frugivore of small forest fruits. Least Concern.
