亚马孙伞鸟 (Cephalopterus ornatus),体长约50厘米。雄鸟头顶具宏伟的伞状冠羽,胸前悬有长肉垂,全身黑色。雌鸟冠羽较小,无肉垂。分布于亚马孙盆地的雨林。雄鸟在求偶场发出低沉的嗡鸣声,以果实为主食。
Banded Cotinga
The Banded Cotinga is a Critically Endangered bird of the family Cotingidae endemic to the Atlantic Forest of southeastern Brazil. Weighing about 65g with a wingspan of 22.8cm, the male displays brilliant turquoise and purple plumage with a bold black band. Severe deforestation has reduced its population to critical levels.
