Grey Plover
Grey Plover (Pluvialis squatarola) is a medium 27–31 cm shorebird with a near-global wintering distribution. Non-breeding: pale grey-brown above, whitish below; black armpits distinctive in flight. Breeding: black underparts with white flanks. Breeds on Arctic tundra; winters on mudflats and sandy beaches worldwide. Wingspan to 77 cm.
