Przevalski's Partridge

A large Phasianidae partridge (~553 g) of rocky semi-arid terrain and loess gullies in the Gansu corridor and adjacent Yellow River basin, northern China. Closely related to Chukar but notably larger. Feeds on seeds, leaves, and invertebrates. Tolerates cold winters; forms winter coveys. Least Concern.

Swinhoe's Pheasant

A beautiful Phasianidae pheasant (~1.1 kg) endemic to broadleaved evergreen forests of Taiwan's central mountains. Males are deep blue with a white back patch and crimson facial skin. Feeds on fallen fruits, seeds, and invertebrates on the forest floor. Near Threatened from habitat fragmentation.
