Pale Mountain-pigeon (Gymnophaps solomonensis), 35 cm. Pale grey with pinkish underparts; found in montane forest of Bougainville and the Solomon Islands above 1,000 m. Frugivore. Least Concern; relatively secure in montane forest of the Solomon Islands.

Pohnpei Fruit-dove

Pohnpei Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus ponapensis), 22 cm. Green with a lilac head and an orange-yellow breast; endemic to Pohnpei, Micronesia. Occupies primary forest above 200 m on this volcanic island. Frugivore. Vulnerable; total range barely exceeds 100 km².
