About These Birds
Black-eared Ground-thrush
The Black-eared Ground-thrush is a secretive forest thrush with warm olive-brown upperparts, a boldly spotted white underside, and a distinctive black ear patch. It is found in lowland and montane rainforests of west-central Africa, particularly Cameroon and surrounding regions. It forages quietly on the forest floor, turning leaf litter to find invertebrates, earthworms, and small fruits.
