The Banded Kestrel is a medium-sized falcon of the family Falconidae endemic to Madagascar, where it inhabits forest and woodland. Weighing about 198g with a wingspan of 43.8cm, it has barred underparts that give it its name. It hunts insects, lizards, and small vertebrates from elevated perches.
African Pygmy-falcon
The African Pygmy-falcon is one of Africa's smallest raptors, with a wingspan of about 23 cm and a weight of around 61 g. It inhabits dry savannas and thornbush, often nesting in the large communal nests of weaver birds, and hunts lizards and large insects.
