The Black-breasted Thrush is a medium-sized thrush of South and Southeast Asian forests, with males showing a striking black head, breast, and back contrasting with a bold white belly and orange flanks. It breeds in the Himalayan foothills and mountains of India, Myanmar, southern China, and northern Indochina, descending to lower elevations in winter. It feeds on fruits, berries, and invertebrates in forest undergrowth.
