Shining Imperial-pigeon (Ducula chalconota), 38 cm. Richly iridescent bronze-green upperparts with a contrasting pale grey head and underparts. Found in montane forest of New Guinea from 700 to 2,200 m. Frugivore. Least Concern; common in hill and montane forest.

Kosrae Fruit-dove

Kosrae Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus hernsheimi), 23 cm. Green with a white belly and a lilac-grey head; endemic to Kosrae, Micronesia. Inhabits lowland and upland forest. Frugivore feeding on figs and native berries. Endangered; restricted to one tiny island with a small, declining population.
