Cream-coloured Courser
Cream-coloured Courser: 21–24 cm, elegantly pale sandy-buff courser with a curved bill, grey hindneck, black-and-white eye-stripe, and black primary tips. Inhabits sandy and stony deserts from the Canary Islands and North Africa east to Central Asia. Feeds on beetles and invertebrates. Partly migratory; some winter south of the Sahara.
Little Pratincole
Little Pratincole: 16–19 cm, South Asia's smallest pratincole with pale sandy-grey plumage, black loral stripe, and white rump. Resident along large sandy rivers, reservoir shorelines, and open sandy ground across the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia. Hawks insects aerially. Largely sedentary; local nomadism.
