A large turaco (50-55 cm) found in savanna and woodland across East and Central Africa. Grey-brown plumage with a shaggy crest and yellow bill. Frugivore of woodland trees. Named plantain-eater though diet consists mainly of wild fruits and berries.

A medium-sized turaco (42-47 cm) found in woodland and forest edges of eastern and southern Africa. Brilliant green plumage with a glossy purple crest and crimson wing patches containing the unique pigment turacin. Frugivore. One of Africa's most beautiful birds.
