Nilgiri Woodpigeon (Columba elphinstonii) — 38–42 cm. Dark brown above; grey head; white-and-chequered neck patch; vinous underparts. Endemic to the Western Ghats, India, in dense Shola forest at 500–2,500 m. Frugivore. Vulnerable; restricted to isolated hilltop forests.
Medium-large terrestrial pigeon, 30–33 cm, similar to New Guinea Bronzewing but with a white head (not just forehead). Confined to lowland forests of New Britain in the Bismarck Archipelago. Feeds on seeds and fallen fruits on the forest floor. Least Concern.
