Arabian Serin

The Arabian Serin is a small finch endemic to southwestern Arabia, weighing about 14 grams with a wingspan near 13 cm. It inhabits montane scrub and terraced cultivation in the highlands of Yemen and Saudi Arabia, feeding on small seeds. This compact seed-eater is closely related to other African and Arabian serins in the Fringillidae family.
