The Bateleur is an Endangered eagle of the family Accipitridae found in open savanna and woodland across sub-Saharan Africa. Weighing about 2,400g with an impressive wingspan of 100.1cm, it is distinguished by its extremely short tail and vivid red facial skin and bill.
