The Atlas Wheatear is a small chat found in rocky hillsides and arid uplands in northwest Africa. Weighing about 30g with a wingspan of 19cm, the male has distinctive black-and-white markings. It is a ground-foraging insectivore that characteristically bobs and flicks its tail while perching on rocks.
